Variety characterises Sophie’s design work, her hands-on and experimental approach helps her create interesting and unique designs that always bring something new to the table. She creates a mix of print-based and digital work that always places a focus on handmade elements and editorial design. She likes to draw inspiration from theories and designers of the past, figuring out how to apply their ideas into more modern and relevant projects. Studying at UWTSD has helped her combine her creativity with technical skills and she hopes to put these talents to work in editorial design.

 

Mae amrywiaeth yn nodwedd yng ngwaith dylunio Sophie, mae’i dull ymarferol ac arbrofol yn ei helpu i greu dyluniadau diddorol ac unigryw sydd bob amser yn dod â rhywbeth newydd gerbron. Mae’n creu cymysgwch o waith print a digidol sydd bob amser yn rhoi ffocws ar elfennau a wnaed â llaw a dylunio golygyddol. Mae’n hoffi tynnu ysbrydoliaeth o ddamcaniaethau a dylunwyr y gorffennol, gan benderfynu sut i gymhwyso eu syniadau i brosiectau mwy modern a pherthnasol. Mae astudio yn y Drindod Dewi Sant wedi ei helpu i gyfuno’i chreadigrwydd â sgiliau technegol ac mae’n gobeithio rhoi’r doniau hyn ar waith ym maes dylunio golygyddol.
